Global Warming: The Latest in a Long List of Scams

A compromise has been reached at the Bali international climate change discussions which are designed to reduce global warming. The countries of the world have decided that they will come up with a blueprint by 2009 toward this end. Specifically, the plan is to reduce carbon emissions by humans, as this is believed to add considerably to the warming of the Earth. But much of what we've been told is junk science.

A very good and detailed article attempts to simplify the science behind climate change. The article, titled "The Real 'Inconvenient Truth:' Some facts about greenhouse and global warming" mainly serves as a debunking of the facts and claims made by Al Gore in his film "An Inconvenient Truth," in which he has won an Oscar and Nobel Peace Prize (which is laughable). Before reading the article, some basic information about the Earth's atmosphere may prove to be helpful. Also, a segment on 20/20, does a good job of presenting the other side of the "mainstream" man-made global warming consensus, as well as the alternative film, "The Great Global Warming Swindle."

Al Gore is fearmongering folks, and he is a hypocrite. He doesn't care about global warming, and in fact is the front man behind an agenda to scare the bejesus out of the people and the world into accepting a global carbon tax; all in the name of fighting global warming. As usual, it's about money and control of the people, as evidenced by Legislation (Senate bill S.2191) recently introduced in Washington to promulgate this end. And to show that they are serious, an EPA Emissions Calculator is available on the EPA's website where you can calculate your personal carbon footprint, and take steps to reduce it in an effort to save the planet. This is mental conditioning, by appealing to emotion instead of reason, and preparing the masses for the level of bureaucracy that is to come in the near future. Don't fall for it.

Remember the carbon cycle from grammar school? Plants, the basis for all life on Earth, breathe in carbon dioxide, and in turn breath out oxygen. Carbon dioxide allows plants to perform photosynthesis, which creates the sugars that humans (and other mammals) in turn use for energy. Humans breathe in the oxygen emitted by plants and breathe out carbon dioxide, so by simply living we are causing global warming? Are large families more responsible for damaging the Earth than smaller families? As you can see the excessive carbon theory can get out of control quickly. What's not included in the man made carbon emission numbers is that humans, by simply breathing, contribute about 8% of the man-made carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, and that livestock contribute about 9% (or 18% of all man-made greenhouse gases).

Global Warming is just the latest in a long list of scams perpetuated by the individuals who stir world events for their personal gain at the expense of the rest of us. I should note that, in addition to parallel non-environmental related scams, global warming is also just the latest environmental scam. Anybody remember the hole in the ozone layer from the 90s? Believe it or not, the individuals who started this hoopla based on pseudoscience also won Nobel Prizes in the 70s. Another good article on the shortcomings of the ozone layer can be found here.

But wait, there's more. If you go back to the 1980s, the environmental scare then was acid rain. Anyone remember that? Congress passed regulatory legislation concerning this issue as well, although the science supporting the doomsday claims served as nothing more than fearmongering.

And lastly, in direct contrast to global warming, we had global cooling in the 1970s. Yes I said global cooling. The media were as usual told Americans that impending doom was upon us if we didn't do something. It's truly amazing how these so called scientific experts can literally bounce from one side of the argument to the next.

So are we really this stupid that they can just make claims and we accept them verbatim? Don't get me wrong, the issues behind the global warming agenda are important. Issues such as Deforestation, and excessive use of oil and fossil fuel burning certainly have merit. It is however being perverted by governments; who can't do anything right even if they tried (they don't try to help, they try to scam) and the last thing we need is there involvement.
